Christmas in October

Let's recap:

Last Thursday.  A sweet old lady gave Brian's car some serious damage while I was driving it the strenuous journey, hobby lobby to walmart.  One might think, that will ruin a night for sure.  Fortunately, no. (Only for like twenty minutes).  It was after the police report and insurance blah blah blah was handled that Bri and I decided to continue with the original plans we had for the evening.  Now, usually our Thursday night plans are huge, I mean epic (maybe getting buffalo wild wings or a treat).  But tonight, tonight we were going have a Christmas party dang it.  We went into the beloved supercenter and retrieved approximately $34 worth of junk food and other necessities.

Needless to say, we ate the majority of treats, unfortunately, I forgot to use the coloring book.  We watched Elf, exchanged gifts [I got Brian a bag of bouncy balls and he got me cracker barrel cheese], and fell asleep in the living room. Thus far, one of my favorite married days.

Due to my place of work, I feel a little Christmas crazy.  I think I owe that to my friend Amanda Owens.  We have the best Christmas stuff this year and I want it, want it, want it!  Brian just told me that too much glitter on Christmas decor is not acceptable.  I'm sorry, what?! Not having glitter is unacceptable.  We will see how this goes down.

I feel challenged, humbled, on my knees.
Jesus is my water, in a dry and weary land.

  1. That is some awesome junk food! I remember falling asleep in the living room watching movies - it was fun! Now I fall asleep nursing the baby and wake up with a sore neck! Oh well! Keep enjoying each other!
