give thanks.

I love this time of year.  I have been ready for Christmas since September (thank you, home decor employer).  I love having these "firsts" with Brian, what great times to remember.  I love Thanksgiving, especially the cheesy potatoes that are oh so unhealthy.  I love spending time with my family, but I wish they all lived in the same place.  Somehow I envisioned never having to choose which side of the family we go to for holidays, but everyone would just magically end up in the same place. false. I am so grateful to have such a loving and giving family, both sides.

My heart is absolutely overwhelmed with joy to take this next leap of faith in our lives.  I will leave out details until things are official, but we are potentially moving in May.  Brian and I will get to do ministry, together.  We have both longed for this opportunity since the time we decided to join our lives together, which is officially one year ago on the 30th if you need to send an engagement anniversary card.  I am ecstatic to be in the classroom everyday next semester, fingers crossed to be in the classroom of this incredible teacher I know.

It seems like the chaos and uncertainty of this semester is finally coming to an end, or at least a short pause.  I am so grateful for my family, friends, and most of all Jesus.  I so often forget how I need him and his grace every single second.  It is more than just Christmas and Easter that he should be celebrated.  It should be in every moment of our lives, every time we step outside ourselves to honor him and live for something greater.  He is everything.

John 3:30 "He must become greater. I must become less."

I hope that all of you find the things you are grateful for this season.  We must encourage each other to see the good in the midst of the frustration, the business, etc.  Happy Thanksgiving!

with love,
mrs.wilde

  3. enjoy this season of life when it's "easy" to drive all over God's creation to see both sides of family. someday, it won't be so easy. and there's such sweet moments to be had on those long rides just the two of you. :)
